Need help badly soft Modding Benq Drive

I got an Elite console with Benq drive and had no luck soft modding it. I took the system to 2 professional guys to get it modded but for some reason they couldn't mod it. both of them said the same thing that they can't read the keys of the drive to mod it. Both guys are really well know for soft modding 360's and been doing it for a long time. They tried different things but no luck. I just want to know if Microsoft is doing something on there end to prevent the system to be soft modded. I forgot to mention that I did got the system replaced a month ago so this is a refurbished system. any suggestions
