Yesterday I was playing Saint's Row 2 and after I left the game I wanted to watch a video but KMPlayer wouldn't open. I figured it was same random error but after I reset the computer I started getting an error involving the file olepro32.dll in the C:\Windows\system32 folder. The error says "C:\Windows\system32\olepro32.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support."
Can someone help me figure out how to fix this? I see this error on multiple programs at startup or if I close and reopen them. Some programs startup fine after clicking that error but others don't. I don't know what could've changed since I wasn't installing anything last night and it was working fine before that. I've looked all over google with not that much information found. All I know is it's some kind of VB error in most cases but I can't find a way to fix it. I've tried a restore to an earlier date (before I got any errors), starting with last known good config, chkdsk /f, checking for missing windows updates, running sfc /scannow, downloading olepro32.dll online and placing that one into the system32 folder, and trying a copy of the one off my vista laptop and nothing has fixed it so far. I'd be very greatful to anyone that can fix this for me w/o suggesting a full restore (even though I have an acronis image of my computer from just a day or 2 ago). Thanks ahead of time for any help/suggestions.
