Does anyone have the sims 3 on xp with 512 ram or close to that and how does it run with that amount of ram?

I want to get the sims 3. I have a very good Intel processor and good cpu speed. A very good graphics card but not a gig of ram which they say is minimum. However, they do say it may be able to still run but may have crashes. See below, my specs:

I Have: 2 processors running - Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz

CPU Speed
I Have: 2.99 GHz Performance Rated at 4.49 GHz

System RAM I have XP
I Have: 510 MB

Operating System
I Have: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (Build Service Pack 32600)

Video Card

I Have: RADEON X300 Series (RADEON X300 SE (0x5B60))
Video Card Features -
Video RAM: -, I have - 128 MB
Video Card 3D Acceleration: , You have - Yes
Pixel Shader Ver.: , I have - 2.0



Video Card Driver Version (DirectX)
My driver version number is: 6.14.10.6444

Sound Card
Minimum: Yes
I Have: SoundMAX Digital Audio

aside from the ram, which you should get at least 2gigs, you're running bare minimum. once you get more ram, you'll be able to play at low-medium settings. if you want all maxed out, you might as well do a new build.
