I've backed up The Magic Christian at 3X and 8X. It plays fine on my PC but my set top Panasonic player says it can't be read. When I did the back up the disc was noted as not being encrypted. I used ImgBurn and AnyDVD. Suggestions?

I've been backing up for years now, and can tell you that I've yet to find a set top player that didn't have issues with some backups, and I use the finest media available. You never know when it will happen. I've also used nearly all of the different softwares in the back up process. I like the quality I get from the DVD Rebuilder process, and even this also produces files that have issues with my set top players as well as my Nero burner. I've refined a system over time that gives me the least problems...

I have had the greatest success by scrubbing the final DVD files through Slysoft's CloneDVD2. I've not taken the time to figure out why this works, I just know it does, and always use this as a final step. If the file is already reduced using other software, it only takes a few minutes. CloneDVD also works great with AnyDVD, and gives an acceptable quality file for the smaller DVD. CloneDVD also has its own burner that starts up automatically when the files are finished. My suggestion would be to try their trial download and check it out for yourself.
