We have a new PS2 with Infinity Matrix Modchip installed. This unit has replaced our old console which was also chipped.We have always used DVD Decrypter to back up and have never had a problem, but the new console won't read any new back ups we do. We had a computer crash a while back and i had to reset all the settings for DVD Decrypter, which i have checked and doubled checked. If we burn a copy of an already burnt game that is currently working in the new console and go to play it, it will not load any further than the intial PS2/Matrix Infinity screen. Any feedback, advice or cures will be greatly appreciated. Sick of throwing DVD's away.

Have you tried img burn instead? also what speed are you burning? 2x is probably the best speed. Tbh i'm a bit noob to this stuff myself

if the new version is a V12-700012 or something like that, tahn you are screwed. The laser on that unit is designed horribly and you are better of just getting a new one. Yes, lasers on ebay are cheap, but they are from third party manufactures and they will eaither dye out quickly, or won't read games at all. Hope this helps.

The serial no. is 79002 Slimline and we had a new laser put in it when it was chipped. I don't understand why it plays all our old copied games but doesn't recognise anything we are doing now, including copying already copied games. We are useing good quality discs, not that that has ever really been an issue before, because when we were first new to it 4+yrs ago we never had a problem. I have tried useing Imgburn as suggested but still no luck.
