I've been using dvdfab since ripit4me stopped being updated. I downloaded the newest version on May 15, 2009, i think it's version 6.010. Worked fine for 30 days then stopped working. Figured it was the higher end pay version expiring. So I carefully made sure that I was clicked on the free version. no dice.

It recognizes the dvd in the machine. But when I hit start nothing happens. Is there only a pay version now? Or any other ideas what might have happened?

The new version doesn't work either. It will not create an .iso file.

I don't need bells and whistles. I just want to create a backup copy to my DVD's. My grandkids are had on them and it is easier to let them play the copies when they come over rather than allow them access to the Originals.

Rip with DvdFab HD Decrypter then use Dvd Shrink to create your ISO.

2) process files (all) with fixvts
3) shrink files with dvd shrink, output as iso/image to HDD
