Forget swamp magic , it's useless now since you have Free McBoot . Get this installed on your memory card and you'll play whatever you want

I also recommend FMCB, Swapmagic is pain in the behind to use.
FMCB with ESR installed runs most backup games without problems and it also doesn't require any kind of hardmod to your console.
As for installing it, if you happen to have any friends with swapmagic, modchip or any other boot method you can ask him/her to install it for you. I recommend the "noobie package" in flowrent's link. It has ESR and other handy elfs already included and it's easy to install. Installation instructions for various boot methods can also be found at sksapps' website.
...or you could also do like me and buy swapmagic just to install FMCB :D You can just sell it afterwards or something...

You shouldn't even need to actually swap anything when you install it. Use USB stick like in the instructions at sksapps and it should launch uLaunchelf when you start the machine. So you don't really even need to block the sensors.
Though i don't know if old version of swapmagic works like that... But trying won't hurt, right? :)
Also, some USB sticks simply refuse to work with PS2, so you might need to try out few different ones before succeeding.

Yeah sorry , I wasn't even thinking last night, that you don't need to block sensors to use the tutorial.
You can download fmcb 1.8b or noobie package from here - link
The psx scene forums are down for now, until they find new host.

You can use SM 3.6 or the SM coder 3.8
You just need to get 'Winrar' to be able to unrar the .rar files.

No one has any luck using a gameshark with Swap magic.
Use patched codebreaker or Armax with Swap Magic for cheats.
Freemcboot will work, it has to be your PC settings as to why you can't download.
Even if you don't have 'Winrar' installed, the files should still download, they just won't open.
You need to have software to get a USB flash drive too work with the PS2 first. It also needs to be FAT32, which most are anyway.
