I just installed Limewire Turbo & didnt notice it installed When U Save.
It asked for access to the internet & i denied it.
Im using Nod32, Ashampoo Firewall & Adaware SE.
After denying it access my screen has went a lot darker than usual.
When i press Auto Configuration on my monitor, it goes to the correct Brightness etc but doesnt stay there.
Anyone got any idea how to solve this ?
Heres my HJT log:

Hey doug
Umm.... that's a really strange problem. Really really strange. I don't see how denying Limewire access to the internet dims your screen. Have you tried uninstalling limewire?
You'd probably get better help posting in the General section of the Afterdawn forums, not here in the computer virus/spyware section... :)

Sorry, meant to say it was the When U Save Installer that was requesting access to the internet.
Ive uninstalled Limewire & re-installed Windows but it hasnt helped.
The monitor is a GNR TS700 & when i press the auto config button it goes great but lasts about 2 seconds.
I have the brightness & contrast up full & have no idea why it keeps re-setting itself.
I tried to mess about with the RGB settings but to no avail.

Hey doug
Try these two options:
1. Uninstall WhenUSave from Add/Remove Programs.
2. Try a different screen to see if it is a hardware issue, albeit coincidental.

WhenUSave doesnt show up anywhere on the PC & my screen looks a lot better.
White actually looks like white now lol.
I just dont understand when i press Auto Configuration it seems to get it perfect & then it goes back to the way it is.
Maybe something to do with setting the RGB or something.
Looks like i may need to put up with it till i get a new monitor.
Cheers anyway d4rkn1ght

Done that using Catalyst Control Centre.
Desktop etc etc looks good using this but when i start a game, its as if CCC closes temporarily.
When a game starts the game is very dark & even when i put the brightness/gamma up in options menus, its still not as good as if i press the Auto Adjust button on the monitor.
But as ive said, it doesnt stay on & goes back to black, so to speak.
Ive heard about some graphics cards, that cause the screen to have a blue tint & thats exactly what this is like.
Any ideas ?
I tried the hotfix from Sapphire for the GFX card, but to no avail.
Cheers
