Sorry but I have raised this issue within other threads but nobody seems to have an answer (not even Pugg). I therefore thought it would be useful to highlight as a stand alone issue as I am sure others will be experiencing the same problem.

Please note that this is not simply a 'loading' issue. I have passed that stage. This is a problem after the firmware has successfuly loaded and the NDS then either freezes or details an error. Please allow me to explain:

As advised within forum threads, I reformatted the 8gb Kingston scandisk and installed the correct software (R4 English V1.08b). When I switched on the DS it loaded up fine and into the main menu screen providing three options (1) games (2) Multimedia (3) Config. At this point all the DS buttons worked fine and I was able to scroll right to left and select any of the three options by pressing B.

However when I go into Games (pressing the B button) I can view the first four games but I am unable to load any of the games or scroll up/down to try an different game. I can not even go back to the main menu. It's basically stuck and requires the DS to be switched off to reboot.

Also when I try going into Multimedia and running the game from there, again I can view the moonmemo, moonshl2 and R4imenu folders. I can also view and scroll down to all the loaded games. However when I try to load any of the games I simply get a error message on the top screen stating ...

"Application halted !!Please refer [/moonshl2/logbuf.txt]" and the DS stays frozen there.

More recently, I re-formatted the 8gb SD card with Panasonics SD formatter, and extracted the firmware straight on to the SD card. I even tried loading just one game ROM in the hope it may be the ROM that is causing the problem - however still the same problem !!

Can anybody please help and advise what else I can try. This is honestly driving me made ...

For those that are interested I have managed to work out the issue without the help of this (useless) forum. My R4 now works fine. If anybody wants instructions, please post and I will check back from time to time.
