Burning a movie to DVD, but the subtitles won't burn...

Hi there!

I'm new to all this stuff, so I apologise if this is a stupid question.

I recently downloaded 6 episodes of a TV series. The download seems to have come with subtitles of some kind. The thing is...

They are not... "hardsubs" (I seem to be able to turn them on and off"; however, they have not appeared on my computer as files separate from the videos themselves.

So basically--- when I go into the folder containing all the episodes, it contains nothing but a .mkv video file for each episode. There are no subtitle files. Nothing.

So, the problem is: if I try to burn these videos to DVD, the subtitles do not appear, but if I try to use DVD Flick's "Add Subtitles" option, there are no subtitle files to be found.

Has anyone encountred this problem before? Is there some way of opening the video files and extracting the subtitles or something?

Try demuxing the subtitle with 'MKV Demux All' then load the subtitle into DVD Flick with the episode.
