Hello everyone!

This is my first thread at this amazing site.

I have two problems with my PS2 Slim (90004)(Modded, SumoLite).

It can't run PSone backup games, I burnt many games on cds, at 2x and at the highest speed, Imation cds of course, i used Nero burner, PowerIso, and Alcohol 120%, same damn problem facing me!

the 2nd problem is with CodeBreaker. i entered the cheats and went to start the game, and putted the game and clicked X to start the game but it shows a message : Couldn't the run, Please retry.
I've tried it with the Fat one of PS2 and it works!

I hope my problem isn't the tough one, Thank you guys in advance.

Regards.

Ok for your first problem with PS1 backups.

I would try a different type of CD-R disk, maybe Verbatim, Sony

Use Alcohol 120 at 12-16x speed.

Now I know one fellow just uses the Browser method to play PS1 games on his 9000x PS2, and he burns his at 1x. Crazy but it works for him.

Codebreaker may not be compatible with your modchip is why it won't work on the slim but does on the FAT PS2.

Or try changing in "options" disc tray "on"

Ok in Alcohol you need to Select your recorder, set the write speed to 1/4 the max speed of the CD-R, leave the write method alone set 'Datatype' to Playstation

As for the 'Browser Method' that is done by blocking the sensor near the reset button using sticky tack or tissue and start your PS2, then insert a PS1 game, then click on Browser you will see your disc there.

Then swap for the backup, block the sensor and start the disc in the browser by pressing 'x' on the controller.

Like I say, watch the video. Its all explained very clear and concise.
