Does Swap Magic play games of your own region?

Sorry if this thread has been made before. I don't see the Search bar. =/


Anyways, I was watching a YouTube video on how to install the flip top on a normal PS2 (looks and sounds very easy), and in that video, the person who was demonstrating how to install it said that Swap Magic will not play games of your own region. I don't believe this, because I don't think it makes much sense for it not to, but I want to make sure since I should have it and the flip top soon.

Does Swap Magic also allow you to play PS1 games?

You must get a Swapmagic for your region, if you live in the USA/JAP you need NTSC, if NOT then you need PAL.

If you can boot the Swapmagic disc, then you can play PS2 from any region.
