How do I extract AC3 from DivX files?

hi.

I need to extract the AC3 track from my DivX/XVid files to a plain AC3 file. How can i do that??

To a plain ac3 file, i dunno but you can save it in wav format with virtualdub and then use tmpgenc to encode the audio to ac3.

But I want to keep all the 6 cannels in the ac3 track. Wont it only become a 2ch AC3 file if i do as you suggested?

oh yeah, using AC3machine, you can select .vob files as the input file type, even though that guide does not mention it..
