Has anyone done this yet? I know its a very long movie and I was wondering if DVD-Shrink was up to the task? If not, are there other ways to get this movie on 1 disc or will it have to be 2?

Yep. Done the region 2 REDUX and it looks ok.

Used Shrink to deprypt and remove unnecessary streams then blasted it all through DVD2One in full disc mode.

Bit rate average of 4.75

Don not compress the main movie in Shrink, let DVD2ONE do that bit

Thankx for the reply. Used DVDClone to rip entire movie to one disc. Was honestly amazed that it both worked and the quality was pretty good. I ripped it first to an .ISO and then burned with Nero.

Next stop: ScarFace.. ;)

I just used DVD Shrink to do the lot with perfect resulys, even with a compresion of around 40% - perfect playback.

I used shrink to compress Embrace of the vampire and successfully backed up all 4 full versions onto one disk. It is the biggest DVD I have backed up at about 12 gigs according to shrink. I trimmed off 2 movies off for the second backup for video quality.
Shrink does the best job of the programs I used for compression.
