Thanks for the help, selecting the RAM chip should be easy enough for me to handle, hopefully.

No it's not fine, you're playing them at absolute minimum graphics settings. Some, no, most people like games to look better than they did ten or more years ago.

I was just looking in a best buy catalog today, and saw a Gateway computer that had a quad core processor and 3GB of ram, but a 6150SE graphics card in it...

If these people are going to build "good" computers, then why dont they ever finish them with a half-way decent gfx card?

WELL EXCUSE ME...
That happens to be my computer...
XD

Lol, and?
It's amazing how many people defend the 6150SE. It is to graphics cards what a peanut is to a gourmet meal. It's designed to render a desktop, MS Word and standard def video, that's it.

Hello, I recently bought a compaq presario pc with an amd athlon dual processor. It has this video card. I would like to play games like Black and White 2. What upgrades, preferably on the not too expensive side, would I need to make?

You can get away with a cheap card like an HD4650 in that system without power or heat concerns, that will run Black & White 2 OK.
