Is there a way to do this, so my IP can't be traced when I am downloading things?

i searched for an older thread but it wouldn't let me reply because it was too old.

My ISP provider said that they were contacted by the company that made a movie that i had and if i didn't delete it they would close my port (which they did temporarily). I can't be caught again or I will lose my internet access permanently. Is there any option to mask my IP/port or deflect it?

PeerGuardian blocks about 3 million known IP adresses from scaning your computer. But of course it's not guaranteed to block everything. If not do a google search on masking your IP. that's all i got.
