Hollywood Fx export to video impossible without Hostware?? with Vegas 4?

Hello everyone...just wondering if anyone has been able to use Hollywood fx pro as a filter/plugin in Vegas 4? I am fairly new so I apologize for any noobness. I really dig HFX 5 and I personally hate Pinnacle studio 9; and for me, the only way I have been able to work with HFX and actually save my transitions into Mpeg or AVI is using the HFX editor in studio 9 as the host .. Or possibly, is there a way I can use Hollywood FX as a standalone? i dont see a Render/export or so to any Video format.. just .hfx and some other wierd formats.. I google searched for any info i could find to see if Vegas and hfx can work together with no luck maybe someone might know here thank you...
