I reinstalled winxp pro & installed Nero 6. Then I tryed burn cd in DVD-RW & CD-RW and they i got an error message Drive in used by another Application.

I disable winxp pro software for burning cd and it did'nt work

can any one help me

Windows XP has its own CD burning application which causes a conflict with Nero. To solve this problem go under Start-Run-type services.msc and double click on IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service and select disable. Don't know if you have to restart but if you disabled it and you get the error then just restart your PC so the change will take place. That should do it and now you are ready to burn.

Do you by chance have any packet writing programs installed like IN CD, DRAG TO DISC or DLA. These sometimes try to take over the drive on start up and will give you the error you are getting. Disable them or un-install them and try again.
