Please help - Skipping CDR's & best brand for audio?

Hello all

Apologies if this has been asked before - i have looked and cannot find an answer - so forgive if this is annoying.

My problem is 2 fold. I have a Pioneer 609 recorder, quite a lot of my discs contain one or two slight skips. I have checked the source discs and they are fine. I'm using TDK audio CDRXG 74 audio discs. Does anybody have any idea what could be causing this?

Secondly, if the problem lies with the TDK discs, can anybody recommend the very best make of CDR for audio recording. I have looked all over the net and cannot find an answer. Plenty of reviews for blank tapes though?
