i cant play cd backups with smd 3.0 whenever i boot smd 3.0 and get to the menu saying load program i use my slide card and put my backup in and i get a red screen with moving
blue and red stripes on the sides how do i fix this its a v9 ps2 pal and im first on the forum

I remember reading that v9 and maybe v10 PS2s have trouble reading the Swap Magic 3.0 cd. I know they released a Swap Magic 3.2 that is supposed to work with those model PS2s.

its PAL not NTSC its the backup that doesn't load not smd

I don't think the PAL/NTSC has anything to do with it unless you are trying to load a different version from your console. There have been several articles on here describing the same problem with v9 consoles both PAL and NTSC.

There is one; a search will turn up many others. The Swap Magic 3.2 cd worked for them to fix the problem.

member status is updated monthly which is why you aren't a member yet. Also if your smd 3 cd boots up then the problem with playing backups is not your smd disc it's the way you burned your games.
