Pioneer DVD-R/RW - Macro disable?

I had a very vague conversation with someone who claimed that you can download a flash plugin to disable a macro......or something along this line......Has anyone heard of anything like this....and if it is possible were would you download it from?

Are you sure that they were not talking about disabling Macrovision. If this is the case you can disable it with your settings in your ripping software such as smartripper where there is this option.

Here's a link to the glossary for it. Basically disabling it should allow you to connect your dvd to your vhs recorder and put the movie to vhs without protection.
