PS2 game is burned, but it won't load.

For 2 days I've been looking for a solution to my problem, but I haven't find the answer yet. I've been to many forums and read all faqs but it's not what I'm looking for. I also used search function, but no results. Here's the problem.

I downloaded a game from a site and it shows the files only. You know the SLES_XXX and some folders. I burned it with Alcohol and Nero and both gave me the same results: I insert the game in PS2 and it loads... Schreen turns black as if the game works but I don't see PS2 logo. After a short pause it directed me to Browser menu where you can see memory card and a "PS2" game. I click on it and same procedure rolls.

I know it's burned as mode 1 but I need mode 2. I'm sure many people has the same problem. Anyone can help me on this?
