Driver problems with Sony DRU-530A

I've recently installed the mentioned DVD burner, and I'm having some problems with its driver.
Every once in a while without touching anything
related, the driver becomes disabled for some reason, and no program recognizes the burner. I should mention that the same thing suddenly started happenning with my regular CD burner that has been installed long before I bought the DVD burner. The message appearing in the "Driver status" window (properties in the device manager) is:
"A driver (service) for this device has been disabled. An alternate driver may be providing this functionality. (Code 32)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device."

PLEASE HELP!!!!
