Ok, here is the scoop.

I have a V7 PS2 with a DMS3 modchip in it. I can successfully play my DVD, PS1, and PS2 CD backups. My problem lies with the PS2 DVD backups. The furthest I can gt is the screen where the memory card and the picture of the disc is at. It says it is a "playstation 2 disc" but when I select it, it goes to a black screen for a second, then the red "please insert a playstation disc" screen. I am using a Pioneer A07 and Verbatim DVD -R media. Any and all suggestions are welcomed to solve this nightmare of mine. Thanks in advance.

NIGHTMARE ENDED!!!

I defeated the nightmare! I found a thread in the forum on laser adjustment. It worked like a charm! I am so thrilled! Thanks to the maker for this website! I am a TRUE believer!
