Okay, I've got an old faithful HP dvd 200i burner which does +r only. I wanted to upgrade to a dual burner which does both +r/-r formats. The only problem is all the new drives do not support 1x!! I've tried sony, hp, and plextor. This is starting to seriously pi$$ me off. Drives always list the top speeds but dont bother to mention on the box, manuals, specs, etc that the can't burn 1x. All the new drives either burn at 2x or 2.5x minimum.
