Can someone help me out here? I don't understand this memory card exploit business. I have a V4 PS2 with fliptop/swap magic

You have to be more specific. In the topic you ask about the disc id utility (which has to do with getting online), and in the body, you ask about the memory card exploit.

the dnas crack tutorial on ps2nfo.com says you have to use the mem card exploit to load the disc id util. i assume this to be the case because my swap magic 3 cd will not load the Disc ID Util.

you can get the dvd version which you burn to dvd and load with the swap magic dvd. Thats what i did and it works fine. No memory card exploit needed.
