How do i burn a .mpg movie onto a dvd using NERO? can anyone PLEASE anwser this question, i im very educated at burning CD-R's in many different ways and when it comes to back up ps2 games and such i fully understand how to use DVDshrink to back up orginal DVD's but here me out..
i used TMPGEnc to create a DVD film... after its done it creates an mpg (IT WAS AN .AVI)... now how in the hell do i burn my .mpg movie to play on my dvd player???
i cant use "make dvd video" in the Nero StartSmart options because i get an error saying
"The file "blahblah" is larger than 2GB and therefore cannot be stored in an ISO file system. Please use the UDF file system to write such large files. This can be done by selecting another compilation type"
I tried making a UDF dvd and i couldnt figure it out.
Please help me understand and please i dont care if someone else already posted about this, this is what threads/forums are for.

Heres the first rule of our forum:
1. Before starting a new thread, use SEARCH first (located on top of the page..) to see if your question has been answered before

If you disregard forum rules once more you will be banned !
You have to encode to MPEG2 (DVD compliant , hence 48000Hz audio & correct screen resolution for either PAL/NTSC)
Then use TMPGEnc DVD Author to convert to VOB format , including creation of chapter points & menu(s)
Then use that same prog to burn as it has a writing tool , or alternatively use Nero 6 to write using DVD-Video mode (not ISO or UDF etc).

I use Nero for many things , but encoding is just not one of them as it is inferior [it takes AGES & crashes now & again for some users].
I choose to use MainConcept MPEG Encoder for encoding whatever file (avi/divx/xvid/mpg) to MPEG2 w/ 48kHz audio and correct screen res.
Then TMPGEnc DVD Author to convert that MPEG2 file to VOBs , creating menu+chapters [non animated menu].
You can then use that to burn straight afterwards as it has writing tool , or you can use Nero in DVD-Video mode [using Nero6 , Nero 5.5 is a little different in set up]
If you filesize is larger than 4.36Gb then you'll need to use whatever compression agent you have to hand , my preference is DVD2One.
