DVDXCOPY creating "blanks"

I have had DVDxCopy for years and it had always worked on my Memorex burner. My burner recent died on me so I purchased a new LG burner (LG GH22NP20).
everything seems to work and go smoothly except when its done the dvd doesnt work anywhere.
the dvd appears to be written on when i look at the bottom of the dvd but i cant get it to play on my xbox360 or dvd player (both which work fine with dvds burned with my memorex burner)
even on my PC it doesnt show anything is on it.
Ive tried using Simple and Advanced...same effect both time
at no point do i receive and error or any indication that something went wrong
any help would be greatly appreciated
