Hi, I'm pretty new to emule and I have 56k. My internet(Netzero) only allows me to be online 4 hours at a time, meaning I cant leave emule on all day. Right now I'm downloading a 400mb file and I am only getting uploads. My Upload to downlaod ration is 3:1. I tried shutting down my firewall but it doesn't help. I am also trying out Bittorent but I dont know how to start up a file after I close it. My current emule speed is 3k download 1k upload. I leave emule on at night and some nights it barely moves 0.1%. The uploads keep getting higher but the downlaods barely move and I cant do Xp or Win2k tweaks either because it is on my secondary computer that uses Win98se. Thx for any halp you can give me.

hmm, and how long have u been using emule?

when i was on 56k i had the same problems - now im on adsl guess what?

i still have the same problemos al though not being able to leave it on could hurt u bad - see u need to upload to get good "credit" so u can download
but, emule isent that great man both on 56k and adsk 512kbps it is slow for me and i have had it on for months - i dont use it anymore

and never shut down your firewall

bittorent

file > open > select file and start download

youll never get a 400meg file mate sorry maybe if u leave it on for a year you might get 200 of it

well thx but I was once able to download a 400mb file , and I used emule because I was able to get good ShareReactor links before it died. Can you give me some sites that give good programs/psx games.
