Burning with NERO 6 Ultra ??

Hi, newbee here. Ok so i've made an iso with the latest DVD Decrypter, now im going to burn the iso with NERO 6 Ultra. Do i finalyze the DVD?? and at what speed should i do the burning? I can do 2, 4 or 8X. Thanks you guys ROCK!

If you decide to use Nero 6 Ultra go ahead and finalize it(it can't hurt.) Also you should burn at the slowest speed possible which in you case is 2X.

Dethh, you stated that you made an ISO file with Decrypter. If you ripped a type 5 DVD then you can go right on to buring with Nero or with DVD Decrypter but if its a file that is larger than 4.37 gigs then you need to compress it or it will be too big to burn.

If the ripped material is too long to fit on one DVD-R, isn't it possible to just carry over to a multiple-CD burn? If so, how is that done? Thanks very much.

Usually that's not a problem,. I managed to back Return of The King which is over 8 gigs in size and 3 hours in length on to a single DVDr. Compression can make a large DVD fit on to a single type 5 disc.

Thanks, Sophocles, but doesn't that level of compression reveal itself in quality loss, pixelation, etc.? Last night I captured one hour of analog video (home movie, Hi-8), into a huge .AVI file. I saved it to one DVD-R. It doesn't look anything close to the original tape--the quality is just not up to par. Do you have any suggestions? I used Pinnacle Studio and a Dazzle DVC80 for the whole project.

In some movies with high speed action scenes maybe but in this case there was a minor loss of sharpenss and color quality but not so that it affected the enjoyment of watching it. There was no visual pixelation or artifacts. In short it was better than any other available format except for the original DVD. The new version of Intervideo's DVDcopy 2 claims to be able to compress 9.4 gigs with no viewable loss. I use DVD2One now for really large files and I have the 1X verion of DVDcopy which for whatever reason I haven't tried with large file with yet. I would like to get a copy of the new verion and see if it meets its claims.
This is their claim:
* Dual Layer DVDs to Single DVD -- Compress a 9.4 GB dual layer DVD to 4.7GB with no loss of content or quality.
* 9.4GB to 650MB DivX CD
If that's true then I have got find an inexpensive copy of it and try it.

I am having a problem with an ISO file. I backed up MVP 2004 on my PC Harddrive. However I would like to open it as a folder so I can add some mods to it. I recently extracted it with WINRAR and added my mods, but the disc did not work. I am using Nero and I have a fliptop, Version 1 PS2 thanks in advance.

Update, since my last post I downloaded a trial version of DVDCopy 2 (it's fully functional for 3 days). I ripped Mission Impossible 2 with Decrypter in file mode, which is over 7.8 gigs for a 1:1 DVD copy, and in IFO mode for (4630) for DiVx. DiVx settings are default for recording to a single CD-R, compliant to stand alone, player that play DiVx recordings. From rip, compression, to burn, the total time lapse was 78 minutes. The final file size before it was ready to burn was just under 600 megs and the playback was excellent, in fact the best I've seen in that small of a mpeg4 file. Then I burned the complete movie (7.8 gigs) in file mode to a DVD+R and it too was almost perfect. End of Story! Really Good APP, and Newbie easy to use.

Dethh, were u on about ps2 games or dvd movies ? If movies, yer in the wrong forum, if games DVD Decrypter
ISO-->Read, ISO-->Write will do the job nicely ;-).
No need for compression as you can't compress ps2 games !!

No probs mate, just do the burn with decrypter, i burn on 4X myself, all's well.
