Hi,

After 5 hrs of searching different forums, including this one for 2 hrs, i didnt have a choice than to start this thread. Please be nice to me. I just want to ask, how can i back up both my PS2 and PC games at 1x speed. I have a NEC-1100A burner(the only DVD rom on my computer) and i have nero 5..., alcohol 1.9.2 and DVDDecrypter 3.2.2.0. The least speed nero could give me is 2.4. I tried it with alcohol, although i have tried 1x but it changes during the process. I would really appreciate ur help. Thanks in advance.

I'm not completely certain on this but people that have +R burners seem to have this problem more. I think 2.4x might be the base speed for +R. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

icemonkey is correct the minimum write speed for dvd+r discs is 2.4x

i also have a dell with that same burner and i backup everything at 2.4x games ,movies with alcohol 120% with DVD+r and they come out perfect

I have recently discovered that my +R burner actually writes -R media 2. Has any one else done this?

I started a thread awhile back with the same problems. I ended up buying a dvd burner that supports slower burn speeds like the Pioneer a107.
it's multiformat so i can buy the cheaper -r discs.
