I got DRE's on my ps2 so Sony put a new laser in and it's probably really weak or something because all originals work, and most backups don't work or are very slow to load. I use sony dvd-r burn at 1-2x, and use swap magic dvd ver. 2.0 with a slidecard. Has anyone experienced this or know if Ritek dvd-r or any other media will work with a weak laser???

No, the only thing I did was take off the cd tray cover, because I needed to use the slidecard. But no internal modifications.
