What utility can I use to edit sections of a DVD?

I have a DVD-R Recorder (Panasonic). I often record Movies from ITV, Channel 5 etc. Obviously the recording includes adverts and I would like to be able to Edit them out. I use DVD Shrink for ripping. Can anyone please suggest any utility that would achieve the result I am looking for?

have you tried TMPGEnc dvd author.After you add your file at the top of the screen there is a function to edit the chapters.Once edited its easy then to completed the task at hand and add menus etc

its worth alook at least
