Not sure if this has been said already but thought it would be useful for the newbies. Plus this is my 1st time posting on this site so give me a break :o)

Anyway.......

If there are any moderators reading this can you look at this please.

In the AVI 2 DVD section which gives you step by step instructions (by the way this is bloody marvelous as been using it) Well before you get to "Other Settings" I think you should add you need to click on "Source Range" and mark the beginning of the film and the end of the film as when you get to the bit rate setting screen in the "Make file size" box it will sometimes shw like 300% so marking the film 1st is wise in Source Range.

Plus you adivse to set the quality to High, with the films in Avi I find it pointless found setting it to Normal is just as good. The original AVI file is not the sbest quality anyway plus Normal mode will convert in about 3 hours rather than high which can take over 12 hours.

And lastly but the most important in "Other Settings" I would recommed click on the advanced tab and changing the scree size from "Full Screen" to "Full keep aspect ratio" so it keeps it the same size as the original film.....otherwise it will make it full screen and will look weird.

Sorry if yu disagree with me on any of these points but this is just what I found out myslef.
