are you serious? when you take an original and copy it, that is a backup.

sly, I heard you can copy playstation 2 games onto the playstation 2 hard drive. Is that true? Or do you need a mod chip to go along with the hard drive in order to copy games onto your playstation 2 hard drive?

Sly, I mean can you actually copy the ps2 games onto the hard drive and not have to insert the ps2 game disk into the ps2 anymore in order to play the coppied game? That was how I should have asked you the first time. If so, about how many ps2 games can a 40 gig hd hold?

um, yeah, thats the whole point. you put the game on the hd. The only disc you have to put in after that, it the hd advance disc. a 40gig would hold 10-15 games depending on their size.

Sly, where can I get a hold of a bigger hd? Something that will hold a lot more games? I have only heard of the 40gig hd that comes with final fantasy online. Office depo maybe? just a guess...

just buy a bigger harddrive. it doesn't have to be the ps2 one, the hd advance program formats it. Maxtor are the most compatible.

sly, do you know anything about playing old school arcade emulators on a ps2? If so, does a ps2 have to be modded for that?
