I have the standard 8 or 10 gig hard drive still in the xbox. I have installed the x2 and am currently awaiting a Samsung dvd rom drive to replace the thompson (way better I guess). I want to transfer the game data from the xbox to my computer through ftp and burn dvd-r discs and play them directly in the xbox. Is this going to be a problem? Do I have to play games by transfering the data from the dvd copy through ftp or can I play the disc in the xbox dvd drive directly? One more question... Do I have to patch dvd copies with the x2? I heard that I didnt. Thanks for your replies in advance.

if you use a modern BIOS you dont have to patch. To copy games FTP the data to your pc, turn it into an xISO, then burn to disc :)
