Backing Up DVD-R Problems.

Okay, this is my first time backing up a game. I backed up my newly bought Onimusha 3 Demon Seige and burned it on a Memorex DVD-R. And when i boot it in my PS2. It keeps giving me a browser screen. Am i doing something wrong? I got a Nec / DVD-RW and a modchip installed on my PS2. Any good pointers?

what type of modd chip?
on certain typ's of modd chip's you have to press either the X,triangle,square,0 button's to load a psx,ps2,dvd format, like the dms3 chip. magicV is a direct boot of original disc's or backup's, for dvd movie's or psx I have to disable or put into sleep mode to work.(on my magicV chip)
