could someone please tell me what to do if a game you are trying to burn is bigger than 4.7GB?
can you burn it onto 2 dvds or do you have to compress it so it fits on 1 dvd-r?

you can do either, you can rip it to 2 disk without taking out movies and stuff like that. the spliting tools are game specific. what game is it. i've found a guide to do metal gear solid Substance

what software do you use?
i think lord of the rings:rotk is bigger than 4.7GB.
but what happens when you get to the end of the first disc? would it be like final fantasy 9 where it says 'put in disc 2 now'?

lord of the rings rotk is around 4.2gb in size so you should be able to just do a 1:1 backup of it

With all these dual layered burners coming out, I wonder if they can successfully backup a DVD9 game without ripping a single thing. Can most modchips play these discs?

matrix infiniy modded ps2 (broken, burnt out PS1 fuse)
xbox(freshly softmodded with krazies)xbmc dash. Stock HDD.
www.norcalmods.com did my ps2 mod, cheap n fast:)
