i was wondering what is the equevilent of a Pentium 4, 3.0Ghz, (478-pin), 1MB, 0.09u, 800MHz Bus (PRESCOTT)in AMD chips.

I dunno why there's always this need for "equivalents" lol especially with AMD/Intel and ATi/nVidia .... both companies make excellent products and work fine for tons of people. To answer (or not) your question, there isnt really an "equivalent" of the Prescott simply because the Prescott is the only chip of its class .... all of AMD's chips are in the 0.11 micron weight class now.
As for performance, that's just a pissing contest for rich people lol although I have a tendency to think the FX53 is a superior chip for utilitiy (hands down) and for performance (a pissing contest). I've heard some stories of serious Prescott related heat issues (and given the performance of the NorthwoodCs, I wouldnt reccomend it at all).

i am talking about performence i am not going to just get a chip around the same price and hope it has the same perfomence because i am thinking of getting the intel but if the amd chip (same performance) is $100 cheaper i will get 1 of them wont i.
as i am on a budget (unlike you who has the most expensive of everything)

Well in either case, from what ive seen and heard, i'd stay away from the prescott because it's been getting its arse kicked around by both the NorthwoodC and the AMD chips.

wait a second , THATS MY CASE!!! , expet onli 2 led fans , 1 on top and 1 at the side , but 4 overall and no led stands , but does urs have like 2 devil shaped eyes at the front that glow blue? , cuas if u do , u instaled the same mod as me

still , my case... , i think i had somthi nthat glows red wen i got this case , but i modded alot for it , i could originaly fit 6 fans inside , but i started cutting and drilling , and now i can fit about 10 and i can fit 120mm fans in all those 10 :D
wasnt i banned?

this is how much i modded my old case , it took about 1 years work . u might find it on some websites like maybe google , but i technicly copied another PC and gave it more work . BTW this isnt my case but it is basicly the same thing exept the case couler is silver and evrything else is pretty much the same

Im not a fan of the windows on the side panels of PC cases unless you are running some sort of cool water cooling, or A/C based system.
Im getting this box, its got digital screen with temperature controls for the CPU, HDD, & RAM, Also has a blue tinted glass panel front that opens magnetically:
Add this to it, and a Brushed Aliminium Pioneer DVR109 as well as internal 8 card USB reader and it looks pretty cool:
Since this is only £11, im sticking it in for good measure lol and looks - it will be in Silver though:
All of the above will keep my new AMD Athlon 64Bit 4000+ processor cool :D

easiest way: open the picture with MS Paint. use the Cut/Paste options to outline and copy your case only, then paste that in a new image (to cut out the surrounding floor and room). next, go to Image->Stretch/Skew->and under Stretch/Skew, set both the horizontal and vertical options to 50% or 60%...definitely no larger than 60%. following that, just upload it to another image hosting site and link to it.
