I have a v10 PS2, I just installed my new fliptop from ps2fliptop.com, the install was quick and easy, but when I press the eject button to open the ps2 disk tray, the tray gets stuck and goes back in the ps2. It getting caught with the white disk on the flip top lid. If I lift the fliptop up, the tray open fine but with the top down the tray keeps getting stuck with the white disk, as if the fliptop was to low on the tray. I seen several people post the same problems with v9-10 ps2 and the white disk but no one has responded with an answer or solution. I want to know if I got a bad/wrong ps2 cover from ps2fliptops or if there is something I'm doing wrong. A response would be greatly appreciated especially if you had the same problem and found a fix. The white disk is installed correctly, magnet up facing fliptop.

1. Do not post same question multiple times.
2. Loosen the screws holding the fliptop on (i had the same problem).

I have loosen all the screws and its still getting stuck, I even removed all the screws just to make sure one of the screws wasn't lined up correctly with the mount, and it still having the same problem.

I originally thought it was because the white disk on the lid was getting caught with the cd tray but that?s also not the problem, because I removed the white disk and the tray still keeps getting stuck on its way out. The problem is the mount that the white disk connects to, because the tray opens and closes without problem if I keep the lid partially up or completely up.

The lid mount is what is getting caught on the the ps2 base mount (spinner) that holds the bottom magnet, the flip top mount seems to be too low. When you eject the cd tray, that spinner normally drops below the tray level so the tray can slide out unobstructed but with the flip top it doesn?t drop.

I put the original top back on and its works perfectly, my friend reinstalled the flip top this time for me just to make sure I wasn?t doing something wrong and the tray is still getting stuck. I would prefer to use the cd tray when playing original games. He has a v7 ps2 with a flip top and the tray on his works correctly with his flip top, but mine only opens correctly if the top is partially/completely open which is a pain with you go to change disks and the cd is spins out of control.

My ps2 is a v10, has anyone installed a flip top on a v10 ps2 without any problems. (i.e tray getting stuck) or does someone know if flip top are incompatible with v10 ps2 or if I have a poorly made lid. I bought it from PS2fliptops.com, I emailed them but the only solution they offered was to loosen the screws, but the screws are not the problem.

Any suggestions??
