i need to know what brands of dvds are good, and which are bad.

I would also like to know where I could find a 50 spindle pack of 4x TDK DVD-R's

I would also like to know which to use for my ps2 dvd backups... DVD-R or DVD+R, or does it matter?

as a general rule ritek,fuji,verbatim,memorex and tdk are considered quality discs but if you want to read more about media then i suggest you have a read of this forum http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/47
for your ps2 backups if you have a v1-4 ps2 then you are better using dvd-r if you have a v5+ ps2 then either should be fine
