Hi:
I'm new to all of this, I made back ups of some of my PS2 DVD games using DVD Decrypter but none will play. I have a Magic 3 mod chip installed. My system will play orginal games and backed up DVD movies but when putting in back up games the screen goes red and has the message Please insert a Playstation or Playstation 2 format disc. I'm using DVD-R. Any help is appreciated.

Hi:
Husband installed per instructions and checked everything he has many years experience in electronics he tested per instructions with a light that came with the chip and it lighted up, is there a way to tell if it's just a bad chip?

WELL you need to be 1005 sure that the backup you are trying to boot is good , does it boot origonals ? also make sure you are using the correct boot procedure .

I don't have a way to test to see if the back ups are good I used DVD Decrypter to copy using instructions found on this website everything said that the disks copied ok and you can see that there is something on the disks. The system plays the original disks just fine. Followed the instructions given from the website were the mod chip was purchased for loading the games.
