What program to use to back-up PS 2 games?

I have used DVDecrypter and DVDShrink to back up my movies. Can I use the same programs to back up my games? I couldn't get a game to work when I copied it to a DVD+R using DVDecrypter but I didn't copy the .MDS file just the .ISO file. Is it necessary to copy the .MDS file to the DVD? I never did when backing up movies and they seem to work fine.

You only need to burn the iso file and DVD Decrypter should work well. Do you have a version 1-4 ps2? If that's so then the reason your backup may not be working is because Version 1-3 ps2's can't read dvd+r and some version 4's can't either. Also what game and what brand media are you using?
