Disk ID Utility? need help

Ok, so i downloaded a zip disk id utility from the website listed below. I then unzipped the files and burned them to a cd-r. After this i put the disk in my modded up v-9 ps2 with a dms3. The screen looked like it was gonna load the disk but then it just went to the ps2 browser. When i click on the disk again it just loads the browser back up with the disk picture and the memory card picture. Anyone know what i'm doing wrong?
