p.s
i'm using magic chip dam its been so long forgot wich version i have... but it does not need a gameshark to boot, it selfs boot :)
I would suggest trying to keep things simple and bypass all of that by making a 1:1 copy of your original. That way nothing is ripped out and it takes a lot less time to backup.
You can check http://www.megagames.com to see if they have a rip kit for the game you are trying to rip. At no point should you have ended up with files that have the part01, part02, etc in the names. What exactly have you tried as far as ripping the original disc goes?
The the ripped game i was talking about was one that i d/l., but last night i went to megagames.com and d/l all the necesssary files for me to ripp a game to fit into a cd'r (one of my own)it was redcard soccer 2003
. When it came to do an iso, i recieved errors , something like , error cant open C:\documentsXXXXXX etc
The cause of the problem would be determined by what filename it threw the error on. If that long line ended with a filename that had a .iso extension it would indicate that you are having some kind of problem with your hard drive. Perhaps low on disk space?
na no low disc space, i have a 80 gig and a 30 gig drive, i still have an execptional ammount of space, i'll attempt to do it again later on tonight. I'll let you know what happen i'll write down everything i do. :)
Personally, I have a DVD writer and have no need to rip games to CD-R. I only know what I've seen there and from people that post about this here. The rip kits usually come with text files with directions on how to do it although sometimes the author doesn't do a very good job of explaining what has to be done. I would read the directions again very carefully if you got any.
