We just had a development meeting with C4E and he dropped a bombshell. Thanks to the recent silent DAE update he has been able to discover how to hit DAE/AP25 with the ?Silver Bullet? and has developed iXtreme LT 3.0 which defeats DAE/AP2.5 reliance COMPLETELY.

A new FW and a new version of XBC will be released to get you up and running again in no time.

We can also confirm that C4E has finished the Hitachi LT 2.0 fw (not affected by DAE/AP25) and will be releasing that as soon as its gone through final testing.

You heard it here first.

Good news! EDIT - Actually, this is the best news for custom firmware users cos it means no more re-burning discs, although I suspect we'll have to re-burn the games that have already been released (but that's just an educated guess).

Yes I have an old xenon that I repaired rrod 0102 on that has a Hitachi 0078FK so that's great news.

Also great for Lite-Ons and others. C4E and these teams work very fast :)

XBOX360 Falcon console with Lite-On 74850C

the only bad thing about this will be the extremely long wait to get it, lets say it went into testing today would be a week minimum before we see it, at best 2 weeks away! never the less i hope it last a long time, as much as i love to flash boxes its getting old doing the same ones over and over again LOL!!!

yeah, and he's a genius for figuring out how to fix it, i just wish releases didnt take so long. i know he wants to make sure everything is right, and thats why we trust whatever he releases because it always is, but look at the hitachi firmware for example been in testing over 2 weeks, on our end the wait is brutal!!!

This is how it will work: -

Rather than using captured challenge results each time the dae.bin changes, the new method builds a complete set of profile data for each disc and works for all AP2.5 challenges, regardless of how the dae.bin is changed. As a result, the format of backup ISOs will be changing as the AP25 replay sector will no longer be included and the profile data will instead take its place. Though c4eva noted that it will take some development time as it?s not a quick fix, both he and the team will now be putting their full efforts behind bringing this solution to life in the form of new versions of iXtreme LT+, Xbox Backup Creator, and abgx360.

It's kinda odd that the Team Xecuter guys keep having digs at the ODDE guys for ripping off c4eva when this sounds exactly like the same solution that the xk3y team showed off yesterday.

Awesome, cant wait for it but, guess we have no choice. Just wonder if re-ripping of the originals will be necassary?

Yeah we'd be lucky to get it in time for a christmas present but no matter how long it takes it's most likely worth the wait.

Eh, I could wait weeks and not have a need for it since my offline box don't have an issue and all Fall games have been released.

And unless the CFW guys can show proof that they had the idea first, I'll give it to the team who announced it first. Fanboys of all type can go suck a turkey.
