Game Backup Patching

I wanted to find out about patching games. I have seen lots of sites and forums with patching software EA patches, swap patches etc. Is there any particular site people recommend using for patches of backups you make of your DVD?CDR games?

I am using SWAP MAGIC and FLIP TOP LID

I looked on SWAPMAGIC site and it just shows use CDLOADERS.

Do we actually need to patch games if we use the above method?

if you use swapmagic there is no need to patch your files

Thanks for the quick reply.

Just wondered on Metal Gear Solid as it doesnt seem to work on my PS2.

Will keep trying differant methods.

Oh, I also wondered about DVDDECRYPTER people say to use it for DVD movies and PS2 etc but no one really states what all the settings should be for each backup?

I know there are lots of differant settings advertised all over various guides and sites but who is right lol
