What's the difference between the two, I've seen both for download and I always go for the Full DVD. Are rips burnable so that you may play it on a modded ps2 or what? If not what are rips used for?

There's no talk of downloading of copyrighted material here on this board. Please read the rules. As for the difference, RIP's have most of the game's media content taken out so that the game can fit onto a CD-R (usually a 700MB disc).

PS2 - v8
Mod - Magic V
Burner - CenDyne (Pioneer) DVR-A05
Media - Anything Cheap

Gamecube w/Broadband Adapter
Phantasy Star Online
Animal Crossing Loader v1.4
Phantasy Star Uploader v1.1
Gamecube ISO Ripping Server v1.0.0.29

Sorry, my apologies, I wasn't exactly sure when I made the post if it was okay to talk about.

Usually DVD-Rip are compressed to be backed-up on a CD-R
