I'm trying to convert svcd files from 2 bins and burn them to 1 dvd, i used ultraiso to extract the avseq files, but they dont play, open in tmpgenc or anything. does anyone know how to do this? I have mpeg2 codecs, i just cant work it out.

Hi - Sometimes when I convert mpeg/avi files to dvd format TMPGnc won't read them. I solved the problem by demuxing them first -- (just in case you don't know what that means - it separates the video and audio into mv2/vav or mpv/mpa)
As to why they don't play by conventional means is a puzzle. If you still have the bin files try and use ISO-Buster - which lets you extract by "Treat as VIDEO only". I found this this works when others didn't.

Whenevr i want to go from SVCD to dvd i use the following programs works every time, i use VCD gear to extract the mpeg then onto womble mpeg editor ( recomended to me by someone from this site Many Thanx Great Software) to join them together if its a 2 cd job and to transcode the audio, then dvd lab to compile the dvd. All quite simple once you get the hang of it and no need to reencode the mpegs so no loss of quality
