dvd movies keep freezing

Lately when ever I burn a movie on a dvd-r using dvd shrink and nero 6, or dvd decrypter and nero 6 my movies tend to start freezinf halfway through the movie or towards the end .
If i play my movie in the ps2 it will play fine but it still freezes in my dvd player .
this just stared happenig , ive been burning movies for about a year now .
can anyone help me with this ?

can you give more info? Are you re authoring and deep analyizing? Have changed media or are you burning at a high rate of speed? Finally have you tried your dvd's in different players? I had trouble with a last Samurai original. It skipped in my new player but played on my pc and my old original. When I re authored it and deep analyized it then burnt it slooow on a TDK it even played in my new player.

is this happening with movies that you burned a while ago and used to play fine? Or is it happening with new movies that you have just recently burned?
Have you recently been using a different type of media? More info must be given please

thanks alot for your input guys
well im using GQ dvds from my local frys electronic store
and this is just happening on the dvds that i just recently burned .
Im burning them @ 4x speed with a sony dvd burner.
I have always used the same dvd-r.
should i try different types of blank dvd-r ?

Try burning at a different speed - 2-2.4x, try different media also.

But first take your freezing DVD to a friends house 'n try it there on a different brand player. It could be one or all of these is causing the problem.
